South Mountain YMCA Hiring for Before and After School Program
Y offering sign-on bonuses up to $1,000

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The South Mountain YMCA, a leading provider of quality child care services, is excited to announce job openings for its before and after school programs. The Y is committed to expanding its team with dedicated individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
The Y’s School Age Child Care provides care to children in grades pre-K to 5 at 10 locations in the Maplewood-South Orange school district. Staff take an active role in providing homework support and lead activities in STEAM, character development, sports and physical fitness, and more.
Key Positions Available:
- Site Supervisor: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the program site.
- Assistant Site Supervisor: Responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor with overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the program site; coaching and working with the Program Group Leader(s)/Group Assistant(s) to create a safe, caring and enriching environment for all children at all times.
- Group Assistant: Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program.

The Y is offering $1,000 sign-on bonuses through Nov. 30, in addition to a number of competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities. New hires must commit to working a minimum of three days a week to be eligible for the sign-on bonus. Additionally, the Y provides up to 100 percent discount on child care tuition for staff, flexible work schedules, and eligibility to participate in a federal student loan forgiveness program.
