Stolen Car Was Left Running, Maplewood Police Say

A car was stolen while its owner was inside a local business in Maplewood, authorities say.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A car was stolen while its owner was inside a local business in Maplewood last week, authorities say.

According to the Maplewood Police Department, the theft took place on Nov. 24 outside a store on Springfield Avenue.

The vehicle owner told officers that the 2022 Honda Accord was left running and unsecured. The owner returned to the scene to find the car was stolen, police said.
