It will be a quiet week for meetings in Maplewood this week as only the planning board will be in session.
The meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Maplewood municipal building, 574 Valley St.
Next week, the Maplewood Township Committee will meet on Tuesday, July 17 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.
Just because there is only one township meeting this week doesn’t mean nothing is going on in town, however. Check out these events going on town:
On Monday, the Maplewood Farmer’s Market will set up shop from 2-7 p.m. on Springfield Avenue at Indiana Street. A variety of tasty treats including fresh cheese, breads and baked goods, herbs, flowers, pickles and olives await everyone. These fresh produce are grown right here in New Jersey.
Registration for Vacation Bible Camp will take place tomorrow at the Community Congregational Church in Short Hills. Activities include crafts, games, cooking, music, science and drama classes, as well as helping children explore a classic Bible story each day.
On Tuesday, the Maplewood Health Department will host an Adult Health Program. Maplewood Health Department Nurses will provide blood pressure screening, weight measurement, carotid bruits screening, medication counseling as needed, health counseling and referrals as needed. On Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., Winchester Gardens hosts the Seeing Eye for a discussion on the organization’s history and a demonstration by a trained dog.
Also on Wedneday at 10 a.m., there will be a Gallery and Art Show Exhibit: 'Robert Cenedella Class from the Art Students League of New York' at GAS Gallery and Studio, 411 Ridgewood Rd, Maplewood.
There’s also the Folk Friday Singalong/Jam, 7:30 p.m. at The Ethical Culture Society of Essex County, 516 Prospect St., Maplewood.
