5-Year-Old Girl Shot In Perth Amboy Monday

A 5-year-old girl was shot in Perth Amboy Monday night, and police say she was caught in gunshots fired inside a home.

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A 5-year-old girl was shot in Perth Amboy Monday night, and police say she was caught in gunshots fired inside a home.

Just after 11 p.m. Monday, Perth Amboy Police were called to a home on Cortlandt Street following the report of shots fired in a residence.

Upon their arrival, officers located a 5-year-old girl who sustained a gunshot wound. The child was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injuries. The girl is in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

No arrests have been made.
