Aberdeen PD: Tires Slashed at Local Apartment Complex
A look at Aberdeen Police activity between February 20 and February 26.

The Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to or initiated 354 calls for service between February 20 and February 26, 2013, including seven suspicious persons/vehicles; 10 alarms; 22 first aid calls; 14 motor vehicle crashes; six thefts; four domestic violence incidents, three noise complaint; seven disorderly persons, one burglary, and 135 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 87 motor vehicle summonses.
The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests February 20, 2013 through February 26, 2013:
- P.O. John Young arrested a 51-year-old Jackson resident for criminal mischief following an incident on Arlington Ave. on February 22.
- P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 34-year-old Aberdeen man on a contempt of court warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on February 26.

- On February 20 a P.O. John Young responded to a report of a disorderly person at the Bank of America, Highway 35.
- P.O. John Young investigated the theft of an Iphone on Matawan Ave. on February 20.
- On February 21 an Ormont Lane resident reported he was being harassed. P.O. Edgar Serrano investigated.
- P.O. John Young took a report of harassing phone calls on Avalon Lane on February 21.
- On February 21 a Pinehurst Drive resident reported suspicious persons selling meat door-to-door the previous evening. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
- P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of internet fraud on Edgeview Rd. on February 22.
- P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of a disorderly person on Sweetbriar St. on February 23.
- A Ken Gardens apartments resident reported his wallet was taken from his vehicle while parked in the complex lot on Matawan Ave. on February 24. P.O. Matthew McDow took the report.
- On February 24 a resident reported someone slashed the tires on her vehicle while parked in the parking lot in Tree Haven III apartments, Aberdeen Rd. P.O. Gus Grivas investigated.
- On February 24 a Holmdel resident reported someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the AMF bowling center, Hwy. 34. P.O. John Zeller responded.
- On February 26 P.O. John Zeller responded to a report of the theft of two pairs of sneakers valued at over $500 on Randall Way.
- Four individuals were observed shoplifting items at the A & P store, Hwy. 35, on February 26. The subjects fled in a 2004 Pontiac registered to a Jersey City resident. P.O. Anthony Valentino conducted the initial investigation. The follow-up investigation is being conducted by Det. Louis Nanna.
