ABERDEEN, NJ — The spray park at Aberdeen’s Veterans’ Memorial Park was just awarded for top design for aquatic parks by the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association.
The Veterans' Memorial Spray Park was actually designed by Aberdeen resident Don Norbut. It opened in 2018 and is located in the Cliffwood Beach section. In addition to the Spray Park, Veterans Memorial includes a baseball field, three playscapes, two basketball courts and a half-mile seawall walkway.
“It’s truly an honor to be here to accept this award on behalf of Aberdeen Township," said Councilwoman Montone. "When designing this park, we never thought about winning an award, we just wanted to provide our residents with a park they deserve in one of their favorite parts of town."
