Opening Date Announced For Aberdeen Sprouts, Hiring 95 Employees

ABERDEEN, NJ — The currently under-construction Sprouts Market in Aberdeen will open June 7, the company just announced this week.

Sprouts is a grocery store; the company started in Arizona as a natural foods market and grew from there. It will be located at 327 Rt. 35 in Cliffwood, next to the Aberdeen LA Fitness. The space is currently under construction.

They will open at 7 a.m. June 7; the store said expect a big announcement and giveaways as we get closer to their grand opening. This will be the third Sprouts market location in New Jersey; there are other Sprouts stores in Marlton and Haddon Township.

Need a job? Sprouts also announced this week it will hold two in-person hiring events, on May 1 and 2. The Aberdeen Sprouts is planning to hire 95 new employees.

According to a quick review of their website, Sprouts seems like a cross between a traditional supermarket, a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, with an emphasis on organic and unprocessed, natural foods. In a nod to their natural-foods roots, they still sell things like grains and beans in bulk. Sprouts also reportedly refuses to sell sodas, chips and candy. Sprouts sells organic, plant-based, keto and paleo food items. They also have a meats and seafood section, dairy, a deli, a bakery and also sell vitamins and supplements.

The hiring events will take place on Wednesday, May 1 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 2 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Edison/Raritan Center located 50 Raritan Center Parkway in Edison.
