Middletown Stop & Shop Pharmacy Tech Is My COVID-19 Hero

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Earlier this week, Patch asked our readers in Monmouth County to nominate a local "coronavirus hero," someone who has gone above and beyond during this time and may not be getting the recognition they deserve.

And a reader wrote in to nominate Monika Kurkemelis, a pharmacy tech at the Middletown Stop & Shop, and also a cantor at a local church.

She is an outstanding and helpful worker. Giving and risking her life everyday providing medicines and assistance for patients.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?

She serves the community and shows unconditional care for people who come to pick their medicines. She goes the extra mile for others.
