Five People From Matawan Area Indicted On Drugs And Weapons Charges

The five defendants were indicted this week in Monmouth County on drug charges in Keyport and Union Beach in June.

Five people were charged with several drug offenses this week in Monmouth County from a June incident that took place in Keyport and Union Beach, according to court records.

Rosario Bonsignore, Jr., 37, of Keyport; John J. Sansone, 36, and Lynn Sansone, 34, both of Fifth Avenue in Union Beach; Michael Cornell, 51, of Hazlet; and Julie Esposito, 27, of Matawan, were indicted on this week on drug offenses, including possession and distribution charges, as well as weapons charges.

According to Monmouth County court records, on June 30, 2014 in the borough of Keyport, Bonsignore, John Sansone, Cornell, and Esposito were charged with third degree Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, or heroin, and Possession With Intent to Dristribute, third degree.

The four defendants were also charged with Intent to Distribute Within 500 feet of a Public Park, named as the Henry Hudson Trail.

Bonsignore was also charged with weapons charges, including Possession of a Firearm in the Course of Committing a Drug Offense, second degree, and a second degree charge of Certain Persons Not to Have a Weapon, stemming from a 2010 drug distribution charge, according to court records.

John and Lynn Sansone were additionally charged from a search of their Union Beach home with third degree Possession of Cocaine and Possession With Intent to Distribute Within 500 feet of a Public Park, named as Scholes Park.
