Heirloom Kitchen Expands Offerings In Old Bridge With New Shop

Abramzon & David's Delicatesse is the latest business venture from James Beard-nominated chef David Viana and his partner Neilly Robinson.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — The owners of Heirloom Kitchen just opened a new sandwich shop/deli: It's called Abramzon & David’s Delicatesse and it's located right next door to their super-popular restaurant, in the same shopping center off Rt. 516/Old Bridge-Matawan Road. (3847 Rt. 516, Old Bridge; 732-313-6142, abramzonanddavids.com)

The grand opening was Wednesday.

Tour the menu; they have just eight sandwiches and don't expect this to be your average deli fare. Heirloom Kitchen is owned by James Beard-nominated chef David Viana and his partner Neilly Robinson, and these are high-end, gourmet takes on sandwich classics: A Cuban sandwich with mojo pork, guava jam, Swiss cheese and pickled green tomatoes ($15); a chopped Italian sandwich on crunchy Dutch bread with Genoa salami, soppressata, mortadella, onion and vinegar ($14); a turkey sandwich with apricot chutney and Muenster cheese ($13); a Mortadella with pistachio butter and Mozzarella on onion focaccia ($14) and an invention called a Thai Tuna Melt with coconut cream cheese and cilantro ($13).

The deli will also serve rotating seasonal sides, including a beet orange avocado hazelnut salad and sweet and sour lentils, the Asbury Park Press reported.

“How you do anything is how you do everything,” reads the sign out front of the new deli.

Abramzon & David’s Delicatesse is just the latest business venture from Viana and Robinson, who also own:

  • Heirloom Kitchen: A longstanding locals' favorite, which Robinson first opened with her mother. Heirloom Kitchen was named one of USA Today's best restaurants in 2024. It also offers cooking classes.
  • Lita: Their Portuguese/Spanish restaurant located in what used to be Eli's bagels at 1055 Rt. 34 in Aberdeen. Lita was named a James Beard semifinalist in 2024 and was also named to Esquire's list of the "Best New Restaurants in America, 2023." Lita just opened a chef's counter where you can watch the food be prepared.
  • La Otra: The cocktail bar right next to Lita. Described by the owners as "an intimate neighborhood cocktail bar. Bar Manager Ricardo Rodriguez has developed a collection of globally inspired cocktails, veering away from the strictly Iberian inspiration driving the drinks program at Lita. Guests can swing by for a cocktail before dinner, or spend an evening just at La Otra. La Otra also offers cocktail classes created and taught by Ricardo."
  • The former Heirloom restaurant inside The St. Laurent: Viana and Robinson owned a Jersey Shore outpost of Heirloom, the restaurant inside The St. Laurent boutique hotel/social club on 7th Avenue in Asbury Park. But Viana and Robinson announced in January they will be re-branding and re-naming the restaurant Judy & Harry's, with an entire menu revamp that focuses on Italian fare. Judy & Harry's will be named for Robinson's parents, Judy and Harry Rosenblum.
