ABERDEEN, NJ — This summer, the Monmouth County Park System is hosting "Life in a Freshwater Pond" at Freneau Woods Park in Aberdeen.

Held from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursdays, June 29-August 24, this free program invites residents to join Park System naturalists and explore a freshwater pond.

Look for basking turtles, hopping frogs, hunting herons, splashing fish and more. Also discover the unique life that lies underneath the water. Closed-toe shoes are required. Parents or guardians are required to stay with and supervise their children. Participants should meet outside the Visitor Center near the picnic tables.
