Man Broke Into Parked Cars In Aberdeen June 29, Police Say

Police say he did the same thing in Matawan and Spring Lake, where he was charged with 22 counts of burglary.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Police say an Elizabeth man is the person who broke into multiple parked cars in the early morning hours of June 29.

All the cars were parked in the Atlantic Avenue area, and nearly all the cars had been left unlocked. A number of victims called police on that date to report that their unlocked vehicle had been entered and personal items stolen from the car.

Michael Correa-Galeno, 24, of Elizabeth, was arrested July 16 and charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and criminal attempt.

Police say he did the same thing (entered unlocked parked cars) in Matawan and Spring Lake. In Spring Lake, he was charged with a total of 22 counts of burglary to parked cars, and he was seen in people's backyards on July 7 in that town, wearing all black and carrying a flashlight.
