Police Chief Jason Gallo recommended the borough purchase the $34,973.02 replacement vehicle due to the age and mileage of the current one used by the department, according to the resolution.

The vehicle, which will be purchased through the New Jersey State Contract Program, Cranford Cooperative, from Beyer Fleet in East Hanover, will be equipped with a “stealth” interior lighting package, exterior lighting, push bumper, prisoner & cargo partitions, siren and console.
