Natural Gas Contractor Replacing Some Aberdeen Meters

New Jersey Natural Gas has hired Precision Pipeline Solutions to replace out-dated gas meters.

ABERDEEN, NJ - New Jersey Natural Gas has partnered with Precision Pipeline Solutions to conduct a meter -exchange program beginning Aug. 31 and continuing through 2018. Not all NJNG customers will have their meters exchanged. Precision Pipeline will contact customers by telephone whose meters are on the list to go. Further, customers also will have received letters.

The work was mandated by the state Board of Public Utilities and will not cost customers any money.

After contractors get through with the outside meters, they will need to enter the home or business to relight the appliances, officials said. Property owners should always request to see identification from the contractor before allowing him or her entry into the premises and if they feel uneasy, they should call authorities.
If you are not present when the meters are replaced, workers will leave a door hanger with a telephone number to call to get them back to relight the appliances.
