Perth Amboy Man Shot Daughter, 5, Police Say
A Perth Amboy man is charged with the non-fatal shooting of his 5-year-old daughter on July 7.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A Perth Amboy man was arrested and charged with the non-fatal shooting of his 5-year-old daughter, announced Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and PerthAmboy Police Chief Larry Cattano.
Police say he shot the girl with a stolen gun at 11:06 p.m. July 7, inside a home on Cortlandt Street.
Police were called there for a 911 call of shots fired and inside, found the 5-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital, and survived the shooting.

The girls' father, David Wesley, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, multiple illegal weapons charges, child endangerment, hindering his arrest and receiving stolen property.
