Wife Convicted Of Old Bridge Soccer Theft, Husband's Charges Dropped
Kathleen Murawski was sentenced to five years of probation, and she must pay back the $88,000 she stole from the Old Bridge Soccer League.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A woman who used to run the Old Bridge Soccer League and was convicted of stealing $88,000 from the league was sentenced to five years of probation, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
The woman is Kathleen Murawski, and she was also ordered to pay the $88,0000 back to the youth soccer league. She will not serve any jail time. She was sentenced last week.
Meanwhile, the charges were dismissed against her husband, Joseph Murawski, because the investigation determined he had no knowledge the theft had been happening, said a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

In July 2023, Old Bridge Police announced the married coupled were arrested for stealing more than $91,000 from league. Kathleen was the president and her husband served as field director.
They were both charged with Theft of Movable Property over $75,000, Conspiracy to Commit Theft and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

However, only Kathleen was convicted: She was convicted this year of second-degree theft, and prosecutors said it ended up being $88,000 she stole, not $91,000.
Old Bridge Police started investigating after they were alerted by multiple other Old Bridge parents of an issue with the league’s accounts. Police say the couple made unauthorized withdrawals of money from the league’s accounts to fund personal purchases, including, but not limited to, expenses related to a trip to Walt Disney World and other travel, an extravagant party for their child, Amazon purchases and utility bills for their home.
The Murawskis used to live in Old Bridge. They have since relocated to Manalapan.
