Deadly Middlesex Boro Pedalcyclist Crash Under Investigation: Police
The crash took place early Saturday morning near South Avenue and Howard Street, police said.
MIDDLESEX, NJ - A weekend crash in Middlesex Borough that claimed a pedalcyclist is under investigation, authorities said.
The crash took place shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday near South Avenue and Howard Street, Middlesex Police Chief Matthew P. Geist said in a statement.
An initial investigation found that a Jeep Patriot rear-ended a pedalcyclist while both were traveling west on South Avenue, Geist said.

The pedalcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep Patriot declined medical attention, Geist said.
The road was closed for around five hours during the incident response, police said. The Piscataway Police Department assisted with the crash investigation.
