Man Killed In Middlesex County Workplace Accident

Police were called to Diamond Brite Metals (333 Cedar Avenue) in the 7 a.m. hour for a report of a forklift accident:

MIDDLESEX, NJ — A man was killed Tuesday in an industrial workplace accident in Middlesex borough, police said.

This happened at 7:17 a.m. at Diamond Brite Metals, located at 333 Cedar Avenue.

Police and ambulances were called there for a report of a forklift accident.

The employee who died was identified as Jimmy Fernando Parrales Mora, 46, of North Plainfield.

When they got there, police found him unresponsive. It was determined that a metal beam fell and struck Parrales Mora while he was working. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are now investigating.
