Middlesex Borough Resident Charged With Child Pornography
After getting a tip from State Police, Middlesex borough police say they started an "electronic surveillance" of this man's online activity:
MIDDLESEX, NJ — Walter Ciancia, 50, of Middlesex borough, has been criminally charged with third-degree possession of child pornography.
He was arrested without incident on August 17 and taken to the Middlesex County jail.
After receiving a cyber tip from the New Jersey State Police and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Middlesex Borough Police Department say they initiated a "comprehensive investigation that involved electronic surveillance" of Ciancia's online activities.

The surveillance of his Internet activity last for more than a three-month period of time.

“The youth of our community are the hope of our nation; it is paramount that we protect them from victimization and bring to justice those who violate these ideals. I am proud of the tireless efforts of our detectives who fervently engaged their skills and experience in this investigation," said Middlesex borough Police Chief Matthew Geist.
