Kunkel Park In Middletown, Atlantic Highland's Town Marina Park Get Money For Improvements
On Nov. 14, the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners awarded grants to 27 Monmouth County towns to make park improvements.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — On Nov. 14, the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners awarded grants to 27 different Monmouth County towns to make improvements to parks.
Middletown received $361,817 to continue to make improvements to Kunkel Park in Leonardo. Atlantic Highlands was given $180,908 to make improvements to its municipal harbor park.
Neither town has said what exactly the coming improvements are.

The towns that were awarded funding through the 2025 Municipal Open Space Grant program, and the amount each awardee received were as follows:
