Rockin' the House for Irene Relief

Local talent to perform at the Wyoming Club of Millburn on Friday.

Township residents who were affected by Irene will be the beneficiaries of Hurricane Aid, a concert produced by Rock the House NJ and the Wyoming Club of Millburn on Friday, Nov. 11. 

The event, organized by Realtor Alex Silberman, a township resident and a musician, will feature an eclectic array of talent, including Millburn resident and harpist Odarka Stockert with her duet Slight Imperfection’s sweet lyrical ballads.

Next, Millburn resident Brian Halpin his jazz group the Heptoctratics will take the stage, followed by Millburn resident Deena Shoshkes with a combination of her groups the Cucumbers (with her husband Jon Fried) and The Laughing Boys with their infectious pop sound.

Closing out by the evening will be Silberman and Rock The Houses of The Holy’s Led Zeppelin band. 

All proceeds from the benefit will go to the Wyoming Club, a not-for-profit organizaton with recreation and cultural activities for township residents  as well as Down the Block, a not-for-profit charitable organization that helps township residents with unforeseen financial needs.

These charitable organizations will then donate the money to township residents who suffered damage from the storm. 

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and admission is $20 admission, which includes drinks and snacks. 

The Wyoming Club is located at 60 Linden Street in Millburn.
