MILLBURN, NJ — Township of Millburn announced that FEMA representatives will be visiting Millburn Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Town Hall to assist residents with applications for disaster assistance.

After Millburn was hit hard by Hurricane Ida, resulting in major flooding and damage across the township, Essex County was officially added to the FEMA disaster declaration list. This means residents that were severely impacted by the storm may qualify to receive federal disaster assistance.

While at Town Hall, FEMA will ask residents for personal information, such as their social security number, insurance information, address and phone number to begin the application process. If one is uncomfortable relaying this information to a FEMA agent or would rather conduct this process at home, the FEMA application for disaster assistance is found at www.disasterassistance.gov.
