Halloween Hangout In Millburn This Weekend: Contests, Treats

MILLBURN, NJ — To celebrate the spooky season, Explore Millburn is hosting several “Halloween Hangout” events, including a social media costume contest a trick-or-treat event downtown.
The “Halloween Hangout” will take place at various locations on Halloween weekend — from Oct. 29 to 31. Explore Millburn wrote that costumes are encouraged for all events.

The costume contest will take place over the entire weekend. Participants can enter on Facebook or Instagram by posting a photo of their costume and using the hashtag #HalloweenEMSH. If one has a private account, be sure to like/follow Explore Millburn and enter by commenting on the post announcing the contest.
There will be five categories for the contest: celebrity or character, scariest, duo or group, best adult and best pet. Ten winners will receive a $50 gift card from a favorite town merchant of their choice. The merchant must be located in the Special Improvement District — one card per merchant, one entry per person.

It is also the last weekend of the season of the Main Street Closure. Costumes are encouraged while listening to free live music by:
- Natalie’s School of Performing Arts - from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30
- Punch the Monkey - from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30
- Big Romance - from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31
