Keep An Eye Out For These Upcoming Millburn Events

MILLBURN, NJ — As we enter the weekend, there are several events happening in Millburn to keep an eye out for.

Explore Millburn-Short Hills has released its weekend-warm up of upcoming events and news, and here are some of the highlights:

Short Hills Plaza Block Party

On Saturday, October 2, there will be a block party at 770 Morris Turnpike at the Short Hills Plaza from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will feature free fitness demos, kids activities, pop-up shops, sidewalk specials, food and more. There will also be ribbon cuttings for new businesses.

The event is organized by Explore Millburn-Short Hills, Millburn Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, AKT, Icebox and other merchants.

Live Music Presented by Millburn-Short Hills

Explore Millburn is launching a Sunday Brunch Music series, kicking off on October 3 with live music performances in two locations: “Chris Turner” on the Main Street closure and “Austin Auriemma” at Millburn Ave & Lackawanna Place. They will be performing from noon to 2 p.m. People can view the full music schedule on Explore’s website.

The location and time are subject to change based on site availability and weather. Look out for updates on Facebook and Instagram.

Millburn Mud Ball

Looking ahead, there will be a fashion show, food tasting and auction fundraiser to benefit local businesses damaged by Hurricane Ida flooding on Saturday, October 16. The ticketed event will take place on Millburn Avenue, between Town Hall and Main Street, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, and more information can be found by emailing Wendy Missan at millburnmudball@gmail.com.

Tour de Millburn

The annual bike ride has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 17. Residents who did not previously register for the event can still do so through their CommunityPass account. Registration is open until 8 p.m. today.

Kendra Scott Gives Back Program

Kendra Scott Jewelers and the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce will host a networking event at the Short Hills Mall on Thursday, October 14. Kendra Scott will be donating 20% of sales during the event to the Hurricane Ida Business Recovery Fund.
