Live Millburn Township Committee Candidate Event Sunday

Happy Millburn will host a virtual broadcast event for the two candidates running for Township Committee.

MILLBURN, NJ — Facebook community group Happy Millburn will host a virtual candidate forum on Sunday, Oct. 24 for voters to learn more about the two candidates running for a seat on Millburn's Township Committee this November.

The event will be virtually broadcast here on the group's Facebook page at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Happy Millburn wrote, "this format is NOT a debate."

The two candidates — Democrat Mayor Tara Prupis and Republican Oyin Owolabi — will be asked questions sourced from the community, aimed at enabling the candidates to share their views on various topics with voters.

In preparation for the event, Happy Millburn posted a poll in which community members can submit and vote on questions they would like answered at the event. The poll is still open for people to add and vote on questions.

In-person voting will take place on election day, Nov. 2, and Vote-By-Mail ballots will also be accepted. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot by mail is Oct. 26.

Voters can search for their designated polling location on this website by entering their street address.

To get a Vote-By-Mail application, download one at www.essexclerk.com, or pick one up in person at Millburn Town Hall. Completed applications should be mailed directly to the Essex County Clerk or placed in the drop box outside of Town Hall.
