Underage Drinking And Drugs In Essex County: Millburn Event Will Address Both Tuesday

MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn Municipal Alliance Committee is inviting the community to join in on a virtual discussion about drug abuse and underage drinking on Tuesday, Dec. 7.

The informative program, presented by community partner Family Connections' ADAPT Coalition in collaboration with AAA Northeast and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, will offer information for parents, community members and families about current substance-use related trends throughout Essex County.

It will provide information about safe driving and why driving under the influence of any substance can be dangerous.
Guest speaker Roz Thompson of AAA Northeast will speak at the event, as well as Isai Fuentes from Mothers Against Drunk Driving — the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these crimes and prevent underage drinking.

Speakers will give recommendations on how to reduce the impact of substance-use in the community, especially during this time of the pandemic.
