Millburn Families Raise $2,685 for Essex Kids in Need at Holiday Drive
Millburn families participated in a Caring Kids holiday gift drive to help 132 students at a Newark school for special needs children.
Millburn children and families spent last Saturday giving back to 132 students at New Jersey Regional Day School; a Newark school for underprivileged special needs children.
Caring Kids, a Millburn organization designed to help kids grow into compassionate, empowered adults, organized the fourth annual holiday gift drive at Hartshorn Elementary School.
In addition to the toys and gifts, Caring Kids collected $2,685 in Shoprite gift cards for the families. At the Dec. 13 event, Millburn-Short Hills families wrapped the presents, made holiday cards, and had fun dipping treats in chocolate and having their picture taken at our photo booth. The event was a shining example of the holiday spirit.
