All SMS students have a chance to win a Kindle Fire tablet during the summer reading program. To participate, students read as many books as they can over the summer and record the books in their summer reading log.

Choosing one of their favorite books, the students write a book review for a chance to win the Kindle, up to ten reviews for ten chances to win. The completed book reviews are submitted to Ms. Morling, the school librarian. The tablet was donated by the SMS PTO.
