50 local service organizations will be in attendance on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m., giving students the opportunity to learn how to give back.

On Thursday, Oct. 2, Millburn High School will host its first annual Community Service Fair at 7 p.m. in the Millburn High School main gym.
More than 50 local community service organizations and MHS service clubs will be in attendance to share information about their groups and to give high school students and their parents a chance to sign up for volunteer opportunities.
The MHS Key Club will be holding a bake sale whose proceeds will be donated to one of the participating organizations.

This fair is a result of the work of the Strategic Planning Committee’s Culture and Citizenship Team, one of whose focal points is character education and community service. The group designed this fair to build upon the character education goals taught in elementary and middle school.
The committee hopes the fair will help to instill in students an understanding of the importance of and the need for lifelong service.
