Millburn To Host Community Acrylic Painting Workshop
Community artists will come together to host a town-wide painting workshop to create a piece reflecting Millburn's resilience after Ida.
MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn residents are encouraged to grab their paintbrushes and join art educators from local businesses, as well as community artists, who are leading a painting workshop to create a piece that will reflect how the community came together after Hurricane Ida.
The town's Cultural, Engagement, Diversity and Arts Committee — CEDA — will host the event on Sunday, Dec. 5 at the Bauer Community Center in Taylor Park from 1 to 3 p.m. This event is in collaboration with One River School, ArteVino and J. Nunez Gallery.

The communal art piece is meant to reflect how Millburn has united as a community in response to Hurricane Ida and the effects of climate change.
12x12 canvas and materials will be provided, as well as refreshments. The event welcomes anyone ages 5 and up.

Each canvas costs $20, and $10 of every canvas purchased goes toward the Ida Relief Fund.
An exhibition of the artwork will be held at a later date. Professional and student artists are eligible to submit artwork for exhibit. Email millburn@oneriverschool.com for guidelines and registration.
