MILLBURN, NJ — With election day less than a month away, Superintendent Dr. Christine Burton sent out a series of reminders about voting deadlines, as well as a virtual forum for the Board of Education candidates.

Burton announced that the Millburn Township PTO Conference is sponsoring a Board of Education Candidates Virtual Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. There are eight candidates running for 3 three-term positions — Krystle Adams, Monisha Amaral, Aaron Chan, Brian Lawrence, Devang Nagrecha, Neetu Salhotra, Agnes Sym and Jing Wen.

Oct. 12 is the last day people can register to vote or make an address change — 21 days before the election on Nov. 2. If anyone has recently moved to Millburn from another county, they must register to vote at their new address.

People who are interested in watching the Board of Ed forum must register via this Zoom link. Topics and questions discussed by the candidates will be determined by public input. The public is asked to submit questions at ptocmillburn@gmail.com, and the forum will be moderated by Board of Education President, John Westfall-Kwong.

Additionally, there are two other virtual forums that are being hosted by community groups. Happy Millburn is hosting their own Board of Ed candidate event on Wednesday, Oct. 12 on Facebook.

The South Mountain Civic Association and the West Hobart Neighborhood Association are also hosting a forum that people can register for here.
