New York Times Reviews Ma Maison

Millburn restaurant can be hit-or-miss, but tries hard to live up to hype.

Ma Maison in Millburn has all the pieces in place to be a top-notch French restaurant, but according to a recent New York Times review, even with all that potential, the restaurant still is hit-or-miss.

The chef and owner, Franco Ammirati, who also owns Café Luna in town, tries very hard to make the restaurant live up to its hype, but the reviewer discovered inconsistent food preparation and inexperienced waitstaff.

The restaurant, less than a year old, does score some points for its authentic French cuisine, however.
