AP Calls Winners For NJ 27th State And Assembly Races

The AP called the District 27th Senate race for Democrat Codey, and Assembly race for Democrats McKeon and Jasey.

NJ 27 — The Associated Press has called the race for State Senate in New Jersey's 27th District with 92.82% of the precincts reporting. In both races, the Democrats took the lead.

For the State Senate, Incumbent Democrat Richard Codey received over 63% of the vote against Republican Adam Kraemer.

Incumbent Democrats Mila Jasey and John McKeon also received over 60% of the vote against Republicans Kevin Ryan and Jonathan Sym.

The 2021 General Election allowed for in-person voting, as well as Vote-By-Mail ballots and early voting. This provided more ways to vote than ever before.

As of 11:50 a.m. on Nov. 4, these were the results, according to the Associated Press:

  • Democrat Richard Codey: 43,742
  • Republican Adam Kraemer: 25,225

State Assembly race

  • Democrat John McKeon: 41,873
  • Democrat Mila Jasey: 40,917
  • Republican Jonathan Sym: 26,109
  • Republican Kevin Ryan: 26,633
