Pumpkin Patch Is Open At Millburn Church; Sales Help Charity

Wyoming Presbyterian Church's annual pumpkin patch is now open, and 100 percent of pumpkin sales will go toward local charities.

MILLBURN, NJ — If Millburn residents are looking to adorn their front yards with pumpkins to celebrate the fall season — while also supporting a good cause — Wyoming Presbyterian Church is selling pumpkins at its annual patch, and donating the proceeds to local charities.

As of Oct. 9, Wyoming Presbyterian Church is selling pumpkins that were grown on the Navajo Reservation in Farmington, New Mexico. The patch will be open until Oct. 31, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be distributed to local and regional charities.

  • Weekdays: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sundays: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The charities that the proceeds will be donated to include food pantries, such as MEND, Millburn Food Bank and House of Mercy Mission, as well as Elizabeth Coalition for the homeless. Money will also go toward aid to refugees through One World/One Love and Refugee Assistance Program, Hope for Haiti and the Christian Appalachian Project — a charity for building and repairing homes.

A percentage of the sales will be returned to the Navajo Reservation who grew the pumpkins.
