Many of Millburn's innovative and outstanding local bistros, farmers markets, and dessert destinations will be featured Sept. 14 - 20.

Many of the community’s best-known restaurants and eateries will take part in this year’s Millburn-Short Hills Restaurant Week, scheduled to begin Sunday, Sept. 14 and run through Saturday, Sept. 20.

Created by the Millburn-Short Hills Business Coalition, (MSHBC), a joint effort of the Downtown Millburn, The Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, and the Township of Millburn to promote business in the community, Restaurant Week will feature prix fixe menus, discounts and complimentary enhancements to the dining experience.

Sunday will be “Family Day” featuring family-friendly places, ice cream and dessert establishments, movie tickets, etc.
Monday is the day to look forward to lunch specials, while Tuesday will feature the Farmers Market, along with healthy eating and fitness inspired menus. Be sure to include a stop on Tuesday at The Millburn Farmers Market, held in the parking lot on the corner of Main and Essex Streets from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“I’m delighted to see how many Township restaurants have embraced a concept that has had great success both in major cities and other suburban communities,” Harry Roth, President of Downtown Millburn and principal of Eye Q Opticians on Main Street, said. “Millburn-Short Hills Restaurant Week is a great way to mark the transition to Fall with pleasant indoor and outdoor dining, the best of Fall shopping and a chance to take advantage of all the Township has to offer.”

According to Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce President Ileana Martin-Novoa of Katz Novoa Architects in Short Hills, The Restaurant Week effort represents “the best of what our business community can do together. As Downtown Millburn and the Chamber of Commerce continue to develop the kinds of projects that encourage business growth, we can anticipate more Coalition ventures like this one,” Martin-Novoa said.
