Winter Events Coming To Millburn During Small Business Season

Explore Millburn has a number of events lined up to support small businesses throughout the Special Improvement District.

MILLBURN, NJ — Not only does December mark the holiday season, but it is also Small Business Season in Millburn.

Explore Millburn is hosting a variety of winter-themed events to support local businesses throughout the Special Improvement District.

The Winter Walk, hosted by the Chamber Commerce, is open for visitors to stroll through the lit-up Taylor Park every night this month. Visitors can also check out this dining guide created by Explore.

Millburn's Chai Center Chabad is hosting "Light Up The Night" — a public menorah lighting — on Sunday, Dec. 5 in Taylor Park to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah. The event begins at 5 p.m.

Then on Monday, Dec. 6, people can expect to see a winter wonderland painted by local artists on the windows of ten businesses throughout the Special Improvement District with the Winter Windows Launch. Explore is working with the Art Advisory Committee, as well as local art groups and businesses for this event.

The fun continues with a Snowflake Scavenger Hunt that will begin on Monday, Dec. 13. About 20 businesses sign up to have wooden snowflakes at their stores, and the public is encouraged to find the snowflakes and submit a list of the ones they have found to win gift card prizes. The hunt will take place throughout the district.

Live music and visits from the Grinch and Santa will also take place in Millburn this month.

Free parking will also be available in municipal lots and spots in Millburn through to Jan. 2. Time limits still apply, and permit lots are excluded.
