$15,000 Grant Awarded to KinderSmile Foundation

Upper Montclair-based organization teaches children good overall health habits.

KinderSmile Foundation in Upper Montclair recently received a $15,000 grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

The grant will used for educating students in KinderSmile’s Oral Health Program.

All told, grants totaling $396,000 to 23 organizations were handed out throughout the state to support organizations promoting health and the arts throughout New Jersey.

The Oral Health Program serves 11 pre-schools in Essex County and provides oral hygiene demonstrations and materials to teach young children good overall health habits. 

“We are proud to support these 23 organizations and the noble goals they are working very hard to achieve,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors of the foundation Robert A. Marino.

“We recognize how these organizations are making a positive difference in the health and quality of life of individuals throughout New Jersey,” he added.
