Local families are invited to join a discussion led by sports writer Harvey Araton, author of the new children's book The Goal of the Game, about navigating the pressures of being a student athlete.
At this event, a panel of experts will discuss themes from the book and offer insights into managing the increasing demands put upon kids at an early age to excel in their sport. The panel will include sports therapist Sarah Spagnola Young, college soccer player Oliver Murphy, former WNBA player Jocelyn Willoughby, and high school lacrosse coach Matt Lane.
Kids and adults are welcome. Araton will sign copies of The Goal of the Game after the talk. Tickets are free, but registered guests will receive priority seating. Register at watchungbooksellers.com/events.
