In Montclair: Men Fight As Crowd Watches, Pepper Spray In Parking Garage
MPD: Two men were seen fighting while a crowd watched. An argument took place over a parking space – with pepper spray discharged.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police responded to two heated disputes last week, including a fight on Bloomfield Avenue and an argument over a parking space that involved pepper spray, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Sept. 26 (Bloomfield Avenue) – “An officer walking a foot patrol along Bloomfield Avenue observed two men involved in a physical dispute at Bloomfield Avenue and South Park Street. The two men were physically assaulting each other with a crowd watching. The officer was able to separate the two men. Both men – a 35-year-old from Montclair and a 56-year-old from Orange – were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.”

Sept. 28 (North Fullerton Avenue) – “The complainant reported that he engaged in a verbal altercation with another motorist over a parking space at the North Fullerton Parking Deck. Both motorists exited their vehicles and continued arguing. The complainant reported that the second male then took out a canister of pepper spray and sprayed it towards his face. The suspect then got back into his vehicle and was last seen south towards Bloomfield Avenue.”
