Montclair School Board Candidate Forum Scheduled For This Weekend
There are five candidates competing for three open seats on the Montclair Board of Education.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A forum for school board candidates in Montclair will take place this weekend.
There are five candidates competing for three open seats on the Montclair Board of Education in the general election on Nov. 4. Terms last for three years. The candidates are: Kerri McMahon, Milt Horowitz, Yvonne Bouknight, Sean Long, and Brian Fleischer.
The League of Women Voters Montclair Area and Montclair Local are hosting a forum for the candidates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Montclair Fire House, 1 Pine Street. Registration is required and can be done online here.

A heated contest for governor between Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciattarelli is sure to bring many Montclair voters to the polls in November. But there will be plenty of other choices for local voters to make in the 2025 general election.
Other races that Montclair voters will get a chance to cast ballots for include a statehouse seat in the 27th district and Essex County Clerk.
