Police Wanted: Morris Township PD Seek To Hire New Officers

Morris Township police are seeking applications for police officers in the township, department officials said.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Morris Township Police Department is seeking applications for police officers in the township, department officials said.

Interested applicants must be U.S. citizens and residents of New Jersey, be at least 18 years of age and must have a minimum of 60 credits from an accredited college or university, police said.

In lieu of the minimum of 60 college credits, an applicant must have completed four years of active military service with an honorable discharge and be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Applicants must also possess a valid, unrestricted New Jersey driver’s license and pass written, physical ability, and interview exams, as well as medical, psychological and drug testing.

A background investigation will also be provided.

Interested applicants may mail, email or drop off their resumes at the police department, which is located at 49 Woodland Avenue, in Morristown. Resumes should be emailed to koshea@mtpd1422.com.

All resumes will be reviewed, and all candidates will be notified via email of their status in the selection process.

Applications are due on or before 3 p.m. on Mar. 1, 2023. Applications received afterward will not be accepted, police said.
