7-Eleven Property Up For Sale In Morris County

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The convenience store 7-Eleven is selling 18 of its stores across New Jersey, including the one off of NJ 23 in Butler, according to the group running the sales.

The Butler property is being sold by NRC Realty and Capital Advisers as a leased property, which means the buyer is purchasing the business while renting the property for the remainder of the lease term.

7-Eleven is one of the largest convenience store retailers in North America, operating, franchising, and licensing over 13,000 stores, including approximately 370 in New Jersey. The company acquired Speedway in May 2021 and now operates the nationwide gas and convenience chain.

There are currently 11 7-Eleven stores in Morris County.

"Smaller and regional operators have been looking for ways to increase their store holdings over the past several years," Ian Walker, NRC's senior vice president, told Convenience Store News. "The NRC sale process, as always, will create opportunities for retailers of all sizes, including individual operators, and we expect a robust response."

The bid deadline for the 2,940 square foot store is tonight.
