Car Thieves Caught After Coordinated Morris County Spree: Police
Two men and one woman were arrested and charged in connection with car burglaries in several Morris County parks.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Two men and one woman were arrested and charged in connection with motor vehicle burglaries that occurred in several Morris County Parks, according to the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Morris County Sheriff's Office, Bennie Ogletree and Travis Ward, both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Misty Stover, of Philadelphia, were all arrested in Somerset County on Oct. 10.
Authorities said the three suspects stole from at least five vehicles parked at county parks in Mendham, Chester and Washington townships earlier that day.

On Monday evening, at around 6:45 p.m., the Peapack and Gladstone Police Department in Somerset County conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. Following an investigation, it was determined that the occupants of the vehicle were suspects in the Morris County Parks burglaries.
All three suspects were charged with the following crimes:

- Three (3) counts of burglary, a crime of the 3rd degree.
- Three (3) counts of theft by unlawful taking, a crime of the 3rd degree.
- Two (2) counts of credit card theft, a crime of the 4th degree.
- Three (3) counts of conspiracy, a crime of the 3rd degree.
- Three (3) counts of conspiracy of theft by unlawful taking, a crime of the 3rd degree.
Stover was also charged with:
- One (1) count of possession, use or being under the influence, or failure to make unlawful disposition, a crime of the 3rd degree.
- One (1) count of hindering apprehension or prosecution, a crime of the 4th degree.
- One (1) count of use or possession with intent to use, a disorderly persons offense.
Ogletree, Stover and Ward were all charged on complaint warrants and lodged in the county jail.
