MORRISTOWN, NJ — An early morning fire yesterday severely damaged a house on Hillairy Avenue, but help is on the way from the community for the family who lived there.

Nicole Williams, who was affected by the house fire on Oct. 6, started a GoFundMe page, writing that, their family has lost nearly everything that they owned as a result of the fire.

"We are currently homeless and believing God for a new place to live so we can continue to serve the community. Anything you can give would make an immense difference for us," Williams said.

As of Friday morning, $20,300 had been raised for the GoFundMe, surpassing the family's initial goal of $17,000.

"Many have asked for a wish list- we are still processing this experience and trying to identify what we need, but you can think of any and all the basics as we have quite literally lost the clothes off of our backs," Williams said.

"Last night was literally a nightmare," the Williams family said in a YouTube video.
