Featuring:

  • Ellie Seunghyung Lee – Piano A classically trained pianist from Seoul turned jazz innovator, Ellie Lee carries the global spirit of jazz in her fingertips. A Berklee and William Paterson alum, she bridges East and West with lyrical compositions and dynamic improvisation. Her debut album Escape echoes the emotional depth of artists like Bill Evans and Geri Allen, while her teaching at Felician University continues the tradition of mentorship that defines jazz’s evolution.
  • Pureum Jin – Saxophone A rising force in contemporary jazz, Pureum Jin blends Korean folk influences with the hard bop tradition. A graduate of Berklee and Manhattan School of Music, she’s shared stages with legends like Terri Lyne Carrington and performed at the Kennedy Center. Her sound recalls the boldness of Jackie McLean and the elegance of Wayne Shorter, forging a voice that’s both rooted and revolutionary.
  • Adrian Moring – Bass Son of veteran bassist Bill Moring, Adrian grew up steeped in jazz lineage. He studied under Ron Carter and Rufus Reid, and has performed with Mulgrew Miller, Phil Woods, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. His playing honors the tradition of Ray Brown and Paul Chambers while carving a modern groove that anchors every ensemble with clarity and soul.
  • Jarrett Walser – Drums A Newark native and NJPAC Jazz for Teens alum, Jarrett Walser embodies the legacy of Art Blakey with a fresh, dynamic touch. He’s played Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club, and led the NY Youth Symphony Jazz Band in preserving swing-era classics. His mentors include Ralph Peterson and Victor Lewis, and his rhythmic storytelling continues the heartbeat of Newark’s jazz tradition.
