Fireworks Show In Essex County Postponed Due To Weather

A fireworks show and concert on Tuesday night has been postponed due to the weather forecast. Here's when the next show will take place.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A fireworks show and concert at Weequahic Park in Newark on Tuesday night has been postponed due to the weather forecast.

According to an update from the county:

“Because of the inclement weather in the forecast on Tuesday, July 1, the Essex County Summer Concert featuring Stage Revolution: A Night of Rock followed by a Fireworks Spectacular in Essex County Weequahic Park in Newark has been postponed. A new date will be announced when it is scheduled.”

The event at Weequahic Park has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m., officials noted in an update.

Essex County scheduled three fireworks spectaculars this year for the Independence Day holiday. The final concert is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2 at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield/Montclair.
