Flood Watch Issued For Essex County: See Flash Flooding Map Below
The Newark area is in the "highest threat" zone for flash floods, says a map below. Use the links to track the storm.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Essex County for Monday afternoon.
Nearly 3 inches of rain may fall later Monday, the NWS says.
The flood watch extends from 2 p.m. Monday to 12 a.m. Tuesday.

"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of urban and poor drainage areas as well as quick responding small rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations."
