Get ‘Melo’ In Newark: Senior Dog ‘Desperately’ Needs Adopter Or Foster
Melo has been at the Newark AHS animal shelter for more than a year, rescuers say. He's one of their longest-tenured residents.

NEWARK, NJ — It’s time to get “Melo” in Newark.
The Friends of the Associated Humane Society-Newark recently put out a social media call for adopters, fosters or rescues in the name of Melo, a senior dog at the shelter. According to the group:
“One of the worst things about returning after a long break is seeing so many of the same faces still there … this couldn't be more true for Melo. He has been there for OVER a year. He is one of our longest residents. How is that fair? Melo is technically a senior, but you wouldn't know it. He really desperately needs out of the shelter, so we are calling on any and all rescues, fosters, adopters, etc. to please free this poor boy from his cell and give him the life he deserves.”
You can learn more about Melo at his Petfinder profile here.
