M&M’S Halloween Giveaway Events In Newark Will Return For 2025

The annual celebration includes spooky-fun activities, delicious candy and "Halloween spirit" for local families.

NEWARK, NJ — Mars will be bringing back its “M&M’S Halloween in Newark” event for 2025 in New Jersey’s largest city.

The free, annual celebration, now entering its 11th year, includes spooky-fun activities, delicious candy and “Halloween spirit” for local families. Attendees will receive Halloween tote bags filled with an assortment of Mars Wrigley candy, festive goodies and the chance to pick from a spooky selection of size-inclusive costume kits for all ages.

To accommodate attendees with sensory sensitivities, there will be a designated “sensory/quiet zone” for guests with neurodivergence or anyone that needs to step away from the excitement.

There will be two local events in Newark this year:

  • Saturday, Oct. 18 – from noon to 5 p.m. at Boylan Recreation Center, 916 South Orange Avenue
  • Sunday, Oct. 19 – from noon to 5 p.m. at JFK Recreation Center, 211 West Kinney Street
