Newark NJ Turnpike Crash Reported Thursday Morning: DOT

NEWARK, NJ - A motor vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Newark has prompted commuting delays in the area Thursday morning, authorities said.

As of 7:38 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike - Western Spur southbound south of Interchange 15E - US 1&9 in Newark, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes are currently open, the agency said. The vehicles are moved to the left and right shoulders.
